CAR SHOWROOM – ALNWICK

Motorcare (Alnwick) Ltd, a very reputable car servicing and repair centre who also supplied new and second hand cars and an established car and van hire business, diversified that one step further when they were offered the Ford dealership in the Alnwick area of Northumberland.
A lot of changes had to be made to the existing premises which included a glass front and a total revamp of the proposed car showroom.
Mezz-Rack Systems were asked to supply a competitive quotation for the supply and installation of the suspended ceiling in the showroom area. We had to take special note of the Ford Specification which stipulate clearly a certain type and colour of tile and perimeter trim. Our very competitive quotation beat off 2 other suppliers and a ceiling of 170 m/2 was fitted within 4 working days.

Project 2:
CAR SHOWROOM – BERWICK
Blackshaw’s Garage, in Berwick, Northumberland, were looking to re-vamp their current premises in Berwick upon Tweed. This involved knocking down a major part of the existing premises and re-building to a required specification. Blackshaws, a joint Suzuki and Vauxhall dealership, needed to satisfy the specification of both car manufacturers and Mezz-Rack Systems was called in to advise on design and costs. We had to take into account 2 areas of re-furbishment:
- Mezzanine area which required stud partitioning and suspended ceiling to both levels.
- Showroom area with dry lining to perimeter walls and Vauxhall specification tiles and perimeter trim to main area.
Mezz-Rack Systems were awarded the contract to complete the installation within a three week time scale. Although working with other contractors, the ceiling element was complete within just 2 working weeks. The photo above shows the final result of the installation.
